Jonna Petry Counseling
Compassionate Psychotherapy for Personal Growth and Relational Flourishing
Life is hard. Stress, trauma, loss, and heartbreak, often leave us feeling alone, powerless, anxious, or depressed.
Psychotherapy is soul care. When we are wounded we need care. Therapy provides an opportunity for healing, growth and eventual flourishing. Human beings are meant to flourish and are born with capacity for healing, growth and change.
Usually we need an "other" to help us get there. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I gently assist others on the healing path. It is courageous to seek assistance. Thank you for considering me. May you find the support you truly need.

About Me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in Seattle since 2015. I graduated from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and completed my internship with Northwest Family Life where I served as a Domestic Violence Victims' Advocate. I also serve as an advocate for spiritual abuse victims.
I work with those struggling with emotional pain, relationship issues, abuse and its aftermath, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, mood disorders, PTSD, spiritual matters and vocational stress. I also work with couples to improve and enliven relational well-being. I have training in Gottman Method level one couples therapy and have witnessed couples heal and strengthen their relationships using the Gottman Method treatment approach.
My work is trauma informed, based in Relational Psychotherapy theory and practice, which gleans from Attachment Theory and Developmental Psychology, with emphasis on the impact of family of origin issues, trauma, and adverse childhood experiences (ACE's). Relational Psychotherapy is healing. To quote Dr. Harville Hendrix: "We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship."

Setting up a session
I meet with clients in person at my Green Lake office in Seattle or online weekdays 8am-4pm. My hourly rate (53 minutes) is $160. I accept cash, check, or direct deposit using Zelle. Payment is due at the beginning of each appointment. I am out of network and upon request, can provide a receipt that is suitable for insurance reimbursement if your policy offers that. To find out if you have out of network benefits, contact your insurance company and ask “Do I have out of network reimbursement for individual outpatient therapy?”
